Bio: Namratha W.N was a former project assistant at Combustion Gasification and Propulsion Laboratory (CGPL), Indian Institute of Science. She graduated with a master’s degree in Physics with material science specialisation from Christ Deemed to be University, Bengaluru. She is an INSPIRE (SHE) scholarship awardee and her past research experience includes study of chalcone materials for non-linear optical applications and synthesis of carbon dots derived from biomass and study of their optical, electrochemical, and structural properties. She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Padova, Italy. Her research is supported by a scholarship funded by the European Union’s Next Generation EU program, under the PNRR MOST project, which aims to foster innovation and research excellence. One of the primary objectives of her doctoral work is to investigate nano catalysts, with a particular focus on platinum-free catalysts used for water splitting, utilizing synchrotron techniques for in-depth analysis.
