Bio: Aparna Anil kumar, formerly a Project associate at the Combustion Gasification Propulsion Laboratory (CGPL), is a chemical engineer with experience working at various engineering consultancies within the energy industry. Her qualifying degree is an Integrated Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen (UK). During her time there, she was awarded the Norman Levy Memorial Prize and the Atkins engineering scholarship. Her thesis project was conducted at Chalmers University (Sweden) under their Carbon Capture Research Unit. Currently she is a PhD student at the Centre for Sustainable Technologies (IISc Bengaluru), working on the area of membrane separation and hybrid/enhanced distillation for organic solvent dehydration.
