Research Topic:
Hydrogen production from biomass - Biomass gasification with oxygen and steam mixture produces hydrogen rich syngas. Aim of this project is to arrive at optimized steam to biomass ratio (SBR), equivalence ratio (ER), oxy-steam mixture temperature and its injection into gasifier which would favor maximum hydrogen in the product gas. Eventually, 99.999% pure hydrogen will be separated to meet PEM fuel cell quality norms. The project includes experiments, numerical modeling & industry scale demonstration of the process.
